- Drying
If your AC is being used for a long time, it is possible to have traces of moisture and water. Before cleaning the AC, it is important to make it dry.
- Plug off the AC
Before you start cleaning your AC, unplug your device from the power source. Ensure that your AC is not connected to any power supply source before cleaning it.
- Wrap AC with cleaning bag

- Remove front panel

- Cleaning Bacteria Filters
Some splits also have bacteria filters which also need to be cleaned. Clean those like you cleared the air filters.
- Cleaning Cooling Fins
Cooling fins are metallic lines that are visible when you remove air filters. An air blower should be used to remove the dust from cooling fins. Do not touch the cooling fins.
- Cleaning Coils
Coils are round metal pieces found in the center of the indoor unit. Use a no-rinse evaporator spray to clean these coils.
- Antifungal Spray
The antifungal spray helps to inhibit mold growth inside AC. Use the spray where there is more chance of mold formation. Antifungal spray can also be used to sanitize the AC.
- Fixing the filters
Before fixing back the bacteria and air filters, make sure that they are dry. Fix both the filters back in their respective place.
- Drain Lines
Unhook the pipe connecting the indoor and outdoor units of the AC. Clean the drain lines with the help of a pressurized flush kit. Air-dry the drain lines and attach them again.
- Turn on the AC
When you fix all the parts back, turn on the AC by connecting to the power supply for about 15-20 minutes. This will help to drain out all the dirty water. Now you can enjoy cool and clean air from the AC.
